At London Volleyball Club, we are unwavering in our commitment to the safety, rights, and well-being of our athletes and their families. Recognizing the profound influence coaches and all persons in authority have in shaping young athletes, we uphold the highest standards of conduct to foster healthy relationships and prevent abuse. Our dedication is reflected in our adherence to the Person in Authority Code of Conduct, which provides clear guidelines to identify and address inappropriate behavior early on. We believe it is the collective responsibility of every coach and volunteer to create and maintain a secure environment where athletes can thrive. Together, we strive to protect the integrity of sport and the trust placed in us by our community.
We uphold the Rule of Two, ensuring that at least two screened and safety-trained adults are present in all potentially vulnerable situations. Our interactions take place in open and observable environments, with strict guidelines to prevent one-on-one meetings in secluded areas. We prioritize safe transportation, require group communication for minors, and consider gender when selecting screened adults for closed meetings. Through these measures, we dedicate ourselves to the highest standards of athlete safety, well-being, and responsible coaching.
