COACHING PHILOSOPHY: I believe in having fun while learning AND pushing ourselves and each other to achieve our goals.
COACHING EXPERIENCE: I have coached recreational springboard diving and competitive rhythmic gymnastics.
SPECIALIZATION: As a Registered Massage Therapist, my passion stems in injury prevention, balanced training, and optimal performance.
PERSONAL NOTES: I’ve been passionate about sports from a young age, competing in a variety of disciplines including high school high jump—where I was the only female athlete at my school to do so—competitive cheerleading, springboard diving at the provincial level, and rhythmic gymnastics at the national level.
After a serious back injury ended my athletic career and required two years of physiotherapy, I developed a deep interest in understanding how the body functions and heals. This led me to pursue a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) at Western University, followed by a Massage Therapy Diploma from D’Arcy Lane Institute. I later returned to Western to complete a Master of Science in Health and Rehabilitation Science.
For the past nine years, I’ve been teaching Massage Therapy at Fanshawe College, and I also own and operate my own clinic. Outside of work, I’m a proud mom to three wonderful children and have been happily married to my amazing husband for 22 years.
